The 14th edition of the annual Safaricom
Lewa Marathon will take place on the 29th June 2013 at the Lewa Wildlife
Conservancy in northern Kenya. The Marathon was officially launched Wednesday
morning by Safaricom’s Chief Executive Officer Bob Collymore.
This year’s theme will be “Run wild for the wild.”
The theme was influenced by the increased poaching incidences experienced
lately in the country. Proceeds from each year's event are invested in a wide
range of projects benefiting sustainable development, education, healthcare,
and wildlife through the Lewa conservancy.
Full Marathon registration will be on an individual
basis with each participant paying Kes.5, 000. Half Marathon will be for the
teams. Each team will have a minimum of five participants and a maximum of 10
and part with a registration fee of Kes.120, 000
You can download registration forms from www.safaricom.co.ke/safaricom-marathon.
